The Investigation

Partner with the Investigation

Help take Fine Art Detective from evidence to field investigation — and from investigation to screen.

Fine Art Detective is building an independent investigative media project around art, history, evidence and discovery.

Our current field investigation begins with the painting in London before following developing lines of evidence through a network of locations across Italy, reaching a pivotal moment in Rome in December 2026. The locations are known, but the route itself continues to evolve as the evidence develops.

A significant new evidential lead has now brought Milan into the investigation.

We are looking for businesses, organisations and individuals who see the potential in where Fine Art Detective is going — and who can help make the next stage possible.

Current Opportunity

London & Italy 2026

Help make the next stage possible

We are currently seeking partners and financial backing to help make the London & Italy 2026 field investigation possible.

Funding and in-kind support can help enable travel, accommodation, research access, filming, production, documentation and the creation of material arising from the investigation.

  • London
  • Venice
  • Pieve di Cadore
  • Padua
  • Ferrara
  • Mantua
  • Milan
  • Bologna
  • Urbino
  • Florence
  • Rome

The field journey begins with the painting in London, then follows the evidence into a network of locations across Italy, reaching a pivotal moment in Rome on 8 December 2026. The locations are known; the route and duration continue to develop.

More Than a Trip

This is not simply sponsorship of a journey

The London & Italy investigation is the current opportunity. Fine Art Detective itself is the larger story. Partners can help enable work that reaches far beyond a single expedition.

What Are We Building?

Our Mission & Vision

Fine Art Detective is about more than a single investigation.

Discover the larger purpose behind the research, storytelling, developing series, documentary ambitions and future investigations — and what early partners can help make possible.

What Partners Can Help Make Possible

Six ways to help move the investigation forward

Travel & Transport

Flights, rail, transfers, vehicle support and movement between research locations.

Accommodation & Hospitality

London and Italian accommodation, locations, hospitality and logistical support.

Film & Production

Camera equipment, sound, lighting, production resources, editing and post-production support.

Research & Access

Archives, specialists, collections, introductions, research facilities, imaging and technical expertise.

Financial Partnership

Direct financial backing toward fieldwork, research, filming, production and publication.

Media & Distribution

Editorial opportunities, media partnerships, audience development, publicity and distribution opportunities.

What Partners Can Receive

Why becoming involved may be valuable

Depending on the nature and scale of the partnership, opportunities may include:

Recognition

Appropriate partner acknowledgement on FineArtDetective.art and relevant project material.

Screen & Production Credit

Appropriate acknowledgement in relevant filmed and documentary content arising from the investigation, where agreed and editorially appropriate.

Social & Digital Exposure

Recognition through relevant Fine Art Detective social, digital and field content.

Behind-the-Investigation Access

Selected updates, imagery and insights from the field beyond the ordinary public experience, where appropriate.

Partner Storytelling

Where genuinely relevant, opportunities to tell the story of how a partner helped make an investigation possible.

Events & Briefings

Potential private briefings, presentations or talks connected to the investigation and its development.

Association with the Journey

The opportunity to be associated with an independent investigation spanning art, history, research, documentary storytelling and cultural discovery.

Opportunities are illustrative and not guaranteed — each is shaped by the partnership itself, where agreed, where appropriate and depending upon its nature and scale.

Independent by Design

Partnership supports the investigation. It does not buy its conclusions.

Fine Art Detective retains editorial and investigative independence at all times. Serious partners understand that they are supporting genuine independent investigation — and that this integrity is exactly what makes an association with the work worth having.

Partnership Pathways

Flexible ways to become involved

Nothing here is a fixed package or a published price. Every relationship is shaped individually around what a partner can offer and what they hope to gain.

I

Principal Partner

For an organisation interested in significant association with Fine Art Detective and a current investigation. Potential opportunities may include prominent recognition, agreed content association, appropriate production credits and a deeper ongoing relationship.

II

Investigation Partner

For organisations providing meaningful financial, logistical, technical or professional support to a particular investigation.

III

Supporting Partner

For businesses providing accommodation, transport, equipment, services, locations or other in-kind assistance.

IV

Knowledge & Access Partner

For researchers, academics, archives, collectors, specialists, museums and organisations able to contribute expertise, introductions or access.

For Individuals

You don't have to be a business to help

Contributor

“I want to help.”

Make a straightforward one-off contribution toward the investigation — any amount, securely, with no obligation and no need to become a sponsor.

Patron

“I want to provide more substantial support.”

For individuals and collectors wishing to provide more substantial or ongoing support, patronage is arranged personally — a considered relationship rather than a public tier.

Partner at the Beginning

Be there as it begins

Fine Art Detective is building its audience now.

Partners joining at this stage are not simply buying exposure to an established audience. They have the opportunity to help build an investigative media property from its earliest chapters — as the research moves into the field, the developing series comes to life, and new investigations begin to unfold.

Where the Story Will Live

A story with room to grow

FineArtDetective.art

The deeper investigative environment — evidence, research, fieldwork, developing series material, partnerships and ways to support the work.

FineArtDetective.com

The broader public-facing home of Fine Art Detective, where audiences can discover and follow the wider journey.

Fine Art Detective Series

The developing episodic filmed series. Series One is currently being reorganised and will be added to FineArtDetective.art when ready.

Documentary & Film

Longer-form documentary and filmed storytelling opportunities as investigations develop.

Social & Digital

Instagram, Facebook, forthcoming YouTube and field updates.

Editorial & Media

Publications, interviews, press and appropriate media opportunities as they develop.

Why Fine Art Detective?

Test the work for yourself

This is not curiosity dressed up as research. Follow the evidence already published and judge the credibility of the work for yourself.

Become Part of the Investigation

Help us get there

We are looking for partners who see the potential in where Fine Art Detective is going — and who can help us get there.

Financial backing matters. So do introductions, expertise, access, accommodation, transport, technology, equipment and production support — and sometimes simply knowing the person who can open the right door.

If you believe you or your organisation could play a part, we would like to hear from you.

Know Someone Who Should See This?

Share the Investigation

You may not be the partner we need. You may know them.

A shared introduction can open an archive, find a specialist, connect a sponsor, secure a location — or simply bring the investigation to someone who believes it should continue.
